Itinerary

DAY 1: Sacred Valley Tour and Connection to Aguas Calientes

We will pick you up from your hotel/hostel between 8:10 and 8:30 a.m. to begin your spectacular journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, we will enjoy beautiful landscapes and small Andean towns. We will also stop at the Qorao and Taray viewpoints, where we can observe the mountains that surround the valley and the Wilcamayo River. You will also have time to visit the traditional Pisac Market, where you may purchase local handicrafts made by residents who preserve ancestral traditions.

After each explanation, we will continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, located about 1 hour from Cusco. Here, we will explore impressive Inca terraces and constructions, which served as agricultural experimentation areas as well as strategic observation points. Our guided tour in Pisac lasts approximately 2 hours, during which our bilingual guide will provide detailed information about the site.

Next, we head to the town of Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch consisting of local and international dishes at a tourist restaurant. After lunch, we continue to the famous living Inca town of Ollantaytambo, where we will have a guided tour of the archaeological complex. From here, we can also observe the iconic Tunupa figure carved naturally into the mountainside.

You will then take the train from the Ollantaytambo station toward Aguas Calientes. (Optionally, you may visit the hot springs in Aguas Calientes if time permits.)

DAY 2: Machu Picchu

Early in the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we take the bus from Aguas Calientes to the Machu Picchu archaeological complex. Here, we will immerse ourselves in the greatest Inca architectural masterpiece. Machu Picchu is considered one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World due to its impressive and incomparable beauty.

We will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours with a professional guide who will explain the history, culture, and significance of this sacred site. You will learn essential information about our Inca heritage and receive a complete overview of the majestic citadel. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own and take additional photos.

We then return to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will enjoy lunch (not included). Finally, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our tourist bus will be waiting to transfer you back to Cusco or to your hotel.
