CUSCO – KM 82 – WAYLLABAMBA – YUNCACHIMPA
Very early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and then we will go to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival we will stop briefly to buy last minute equipment, personal products and have breakfast. Then we will go in our transport to Km 82, the entrance control point to the Inca Trail, where you will have to present your tickets and passports or the identity document with which you made your reservation. Before starting the walk we will have a small meeting where you will meet the staff of our company that will accompany you during the trip.
The first day we will begin our walk with a gentle ascent, for approximately 2 hours until we reach Miskay, a Quechua town, in this place we will have lunch. After a short rest we will go to our first archaeological site Llactapata (Patallacta). Then you will continue walking for 2 hours to Wayllabamba and then ascend to Yuncachimpa, where you will enjoy dinner and the guides will present the plans for the next day. Finally you will be able to renew your strength in the tents set up in our camp.
DAY 2: YUNCACHIMPA – LLULLUCHAPAMPA – WARMIHUAÑUSCA PASS – PACAYMAYU – RUNKURAKAY PASS – CHAQUICOCHA
We will start our second day of the Inca Trail, after a refreshing breakfast, on this day the Free hike day takes place, this means that each one will walk at their own pace, but always meeting with the group during short breaks.
Following the path that leads us through the Llulluchapampa Valley, to continue ascending for 2-3 hours (approximately), until we reach the highest and most difficult point of this hike: the Warmihuañusca pass. We will continue the walk descending a steep descent towards the Pacaymayu river through the Runkurakay pass, until we reach our campsite known as Chaquicocha where you can relax while enjoying an impressive view of the place.
DAY 3: CHAQUICOCHA – PHUYUPATAMARCA – WIÑAYHUAYNA
We will start the day with a quieter tour where you will be able to observe how we leave behind the panorama of the Andes to descend through the subtropical jungle. Giving this day a peculiar singularity since you will be able to see two small lakes and as we ascend we will drive through an incredible cloud forest, and then go through a small Inca tunnel that offers an admirable view of the Urubamba Valley. It is worth mentioning that on this day you can see the greatest variety of orchids and birds in the region.
The place where we will camp this day has the name of Phuyupatamarca, which means «place above the clouds», its name is due to the fact that, when the mist from the high jungle rises, being next to Phuyupatamarca is like floating above the mountains. clouds. This incredible place is built on an underground river that irrigates water for its ceremonial baths. Finally we will go through another tunnel before reaching Wiñayhuayna, where our last camp is located.
DAY 4: WIÑAYHUAYNA – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
After 3 days of adventure we arrive at the most awaited day, after breakfast we will go for approximately 1-2 hours equipped with lanterns, towards the Inti Punku (Puerta del Sol, so that we can be dazzled by the first rays of the sun on the imposing citadel from Machu Picchu (It will depend on the weather condition) To then continue with the final descent to Machu Picchu, where we will register and then have a 2-hour guided tour of the magical citadel.
Next, we will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you can visit the thermal baths, explore the town and have time for lunch.
Finally we will board the train to return to Ollantaytambo, and then the bus to Cusco. Thus concluding our Inca Trail tour 4 days.

The time of the return train at the end of the tour is DEPENDING ON AVAILABILITY 18:20 or 19:00.
If you prefer the train return earlier we can reserve it for an additional cost of 35 dollars per person; the times you can choose are: 2:55 p.m. or 4:35 p.m. We also offer the option to book the Vistadome train at 3:40pm for an additional cost of $65 per person. Please, let us know in advance what your preferred train schedule is. We inform you that none of the reserved trains go directly to Cusco, the trains only arrive at the Ollantaytambo or Poroy stations. In any of the cases we will always guarantee the shipment of a transport that will pick them up and bring them back to Cusco.

How do you get the student discount?

Important: Rent camping equipment with you?
Yes, in case you do not have the appropriate equipment to carry out the Walk then we can offer you for rent:
- Sleeping bags: 20 dollars per person
- Walking sticks: $10 for a pair
- Additional tents: $25 per person

What you need to bring to the Inca Trail:
- We recommend that you take only what is necessary to enjoy your tour and leave the rest of your things at the hotel in Cusco.
- The original passport or document with which you made the reservation of the tour,
- A small backpack of 20 liters that allows you to introduce all the things you will take with you
- A sleeping bag preferably at least 5 to 10 degrees below zero, this can be synthetic or feather, if you do not have one you can rent it from our office.
- Appropriate clothing for walking, waterproof and comfortable shoes for long walks, short and long pants, dry fit sports shirts, rain jacket or raincoat.
- Warm clothes to be used in the camp (We recommend cotton clothes that are very comfortable to sleep in, a hat and gloves for the cold. Socks for walking, sandals to be used when you arrive at the camp, you should also take bags with you plastic so you can separate things in the backpack (clean, wet, dirty clothes and others).
- A canteen with water for the first day of the trek. From the second day you will be provided with cold filtered boiled water for your canteens.
- Personal hygiene items: a small towel, soap, toothpaste and toothbrush, toilet paper, hand sanitizing gel. These last two articles are very important.
- Personal medications, within this list also includes muscle relaxants, pain tablets and blessed for scratches, blisters on the feet that can be generated after several hours of walking.
